COVID-19’s global spread has implications on global trade, cross-border investment, global supply chains and globalization. Is it “de-globalizing” temporary? Or will it continue after the pandemic?
CGTN anchor Tianwei hosted the Third Webinar of the Bo’ao Forum for Asia on COVID-19 vs. Globalization. The webinar was joined by Thomas Friedman, author of “The World is Flat”; Joseph Nye, creator of the concept “soft power” and also former dean of the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University; Xiang Bing, founding dean of the Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business; and Wang Huiyao, founder and president of the Center for China and Globalization. They shed light on the pandemic’s impact on our inter-connected world.
